Thank you all for your prayer pats/prayers,

I have accepted the new, new job at HP.

Prior to June 19th, I was working for General Dynamics Information
Technology on a US government contract for the Centers for
Medicare/Medicaid Services on the Health Care Quality Improvement
System (HCQIS) contract.

As of June 22nd, I became an employee of Engility Corp. working on a
planning contract for the Veterans Administration on a National
Cemeteries Administration project.

As of July 21st, I will be an employee of HP, back to supporting the
CMS HCQIS Infrastructure and Data Center Support (HIDS) contract. It's
back to more evening and weekend work, but it is a huge jump in salary
and vacation. The Project Lead seems very competent, and has a clue of
the difficulties facing the project. I will work from home at least 4
days a week, so the commuting should not be a barrier. If it is, there
are other options, as Alan Carr pointed out. I do hope the various
benefits packages will work out - I am in between medical benefits
right now and have applied for Medicare (I'll be 65 in 3 weeks; how
can that be?)!

I am now attempting a graceful exit from Engility Corp. I am grateful
to them for their welcome, their competent handling of a difficult
learning curve, and to the individuals with whom I have been working.
I am grateful to have had a chance to set up a home office. I am
grateful to have learned more about project management tools.

Now, to get the caving convention awards show set up for Thursday next
week! In the midst of it all, next week is "vacation" while I work
very hard to provide the big awards show for the cavers at our annual
convention, in Missouri this year.

Some weeks are just more event-filled than others.

Very grateful for your prayers,

hugs all around - Cady
!!
