[Magdalen] Changes

Good heavens Scott - more than half the people in your office! You'll
rattle in the remaining space!

Sounds as though there are lots of changes coming up at HP. I think I
will be mostly working from home, but with regular trips to the
contractor site (weekly?) and other trips to HP for team building
(monthly?). We shall see how it works out.

The HP folks are having trouble getting the correct information for
the HP laptop - they may overnight it to me and have me troubleshoot
my way through installing everything. The next bit is obtaining the
government laptop and setting it up. Nothing like tens of usernames &
passwords for all sorts & conditions of servers, software,
applications & access.

My job description is changing dramatically. I was the web servers
team (a team with 1 member). Now I get to be the web servers
specialist and Oracle WebLogic generalist along with the rest of the
team. Fine with me - that means I'm not on call 24/7. The general
management structure is also changing, also likely a very good way to
approach the projects. We'll see. I am very, very glad to have taken
the side trip through another company. It gave me a wider perspective
on government contracts and how they are managed.

One day at a time, one computer problem at a time ... I hope!
