Agree here, Jim. I wouldn't take one doc's opinion, and would seek a second
opinion from another doc FAR outside the same group. Of course, insurance
sometimes makes that difficult, but I think that's worth it anyway. And you
should definitely explore all the options. As you say, and Christopher
should consider, it's HIS body, not the doctors'.

My dad's doc, when explaining all options, said to him that the radiation
and "seeding" could probably give him 10 more years. My dad looked at him
and said, "Well, I'd be 90 then, wouldn't I?" and in his mind that settled
it. He lived to be 91 and died of congestive heart failure, but he also had
dementia, so if he'd lived any longer I think it would have been a burden
to him to live much longer.
