>Boy Scouts of America has lifted the ban on LGBTQ adult leaders. About time.

It would be a shame if it turns out to be too late to save scouting. But it may 
be that scouting is subject to the same inexorable "Bowling Alone" phenomena 
that
has done in so many groups like the Masons, Elks, VFW,  American Legion -- and 
yes -- churches and other such groups.

But I suspect the battles will continue over public-sector and corporate 
contributions  where Scouts remain under the thumb of the anti-LGBT crowd.

The Girl Scouts have maintained fairly well, though an ever-shrinking percentage 
of the population. They've  had some losses recently, but it's generally been 
less than 6% which is probably normal in the ups and downs of such.
