Thankful here that you lived to tell the tale, even if there is a gap in it!
When the local garbage collector totalled my Ford Falcon, I broke my
nose on the steering wheel. The bonnet was pushed through the
windscreen ending up just the other side of that wheel. The police
maintained that if either party had been travelling fast I would not
be here talking about it.
