I know what "hallway meetings" are like.  Especially since I've experienced so many right next to me in the front office while I'm helping a customer.  And it almost inevitably involves either co-workers who are hard of hearing (they must be or they wouldn't be YELLING), or farmers known for their hysterical laughter, or both.  I tell my customer, "Please forgive them, for they know what they do.  In the meantime, care to join me in the conference room here behind a closed door?"
