A few weeks ago there were some retrospectives of the funeral of Winston Churchill 50 years ago using archive footage.  I think that helped remind people of the respect in which he was held, and the honour done him with a state funeral.  Trying to recreate specific aspects of the funeral procession (insofar as that would still be possible) would have been a mistake as it would have been putting on a pointless charade at great expense and onconvenience to ordinary people, most of whom would not have known his significance from personal experience.
