[Magdalen] Calvary, Pittsburgh

The church was lovely.  Coffee Hour was listed in the bulletin - but no hint as to where it was to be.  (I had located the venue earlier when heading for the restroom but that was by chance.) The music was good, though not with the Director of Music who was out of town handing over his responsibilities as President of the Association of Church Musicians or the full choir.

I'm sorry the Calvary, Pittsburgh didn't work out well for you.

I suggested it, and my experiences there were much different.

Anyway, I thought you'd enjoy one of the three Ralph Adams Cram
designed churches in Philadelphia.  The other two are Holy  Rosary
RCC, and East Liberty Presbyterian Church.

In season, they also have a very fine musical program, with large,
well-trained choir.

But I guess it can all be for naught if congregants are  unfriendly.

It's a good lesson for everyone.

David Strang.
