I haven't seen the article in question but Rith Gledhill would need to 
have sources for what she wrote.  In the nature of things these would 
have been aggrieved parties who supplied her with their version of 
events, which is unlikely to have been the full truth. That is why it is 
important to get as close to the original sources as possible, and to 
take opinions from a variety of them.
