No, it's exactly the stained glass windows that are the subject here.  And
in the article on the NPR site, they show some close-up pictures that sort
of illustrate the problem.

​I think one possible solution would be to leave the windows alone and put
up a fairly conspicuous plaque. Tell the unvarnished truth, how the symbols
came to be in that window in the first place, and what they mean today, not
the least of which would be the reason some might find them horribly
troubling in a national house of prayer, supposedly a house for the prayer
of all, not just old white guys.​
