I remember the area before I 287 and I 80. When I was going back and forth to 
Penn State,I 80 ended either side of  Parsippany and one used Route 46. It was 
much less subject to sprawl.

Because of its adjacency to major highways, it is a major site for corporate 
offices and back offices nowadays -- all in the past 30 years.
