The best I ever had outside of Brooklyn was in Los Angeles(Silver Lake) or all 
places! It was a small Italian restaurant  with NY decorations; the owner was 
from Brooklyn and he knew his stuff. It was around the corner from where we 
lived.

Unfortunately of us (and mucho fortunately for him, a Hollywood Celebrity loved 
his food as well. And he bought a building and paid the owner to move to Van 
Nuys -- at the foot of the mountain -- so the Celebrity could get fast delivery 
while pizza as well as entrees could be delivered hot. The guy made a mint!

The former location was replaced with a Chinese Takeout -- with a menu in 
Spanish! True Los Angeles.(It was about three blocks up Sunset Blvd from Jon 
+Bruno's French Steakhouse.
