[Magdalen] We did it!

Well, Chad, *I* am pleased that Wisconsin won the Big Ten championship and
got a #1 seed. Boy, what a change from my days there, when the basketball
team was so bad that when they unexpectedly beat Ohio State during the
regular season it caused a major celebration and the wry comment that they
didn't have to do anything else for the rest of the year!

However, I am much more a fan of women's basketball and will be anxiously
awaiting the selection show for the women's tournament to see where my
beloved Lady Vols, expected to be a #2 seed, will play, and also to see
what kind of seed local James Madison will get and where they'll be sent.

Our weather has turned positively springlike the last few days and the snow
crocuses have appeared out of nowhere the way they always do. Today on the
way to church I noticed a weeping willow with faint green showing. They are
always the first trees to show any green, and it's always so faint as to be
almost unnoticeable at first.
