I can imagine how discouraging it is to be on time, in place, and the
transportation breaks down, and you have to cancel entirely.

How very frustrating it must be for you, and to have orders not as much you
would like must be sad.  I know how I will work for a long time on a piece
of music I think will be very successful, and then no one wants it.

Tomorrow is another day. I hope you can get into another event if not
similar, perhaps even superior to what you were forced to miss.
