The Newcastle diocesan website indicates that they will move their 
family home to Hull and Frank will continue to work out of his office 
near Newcastle, about a half-day's journey away. He is a few years older 
than Alison, and has about the same number of years more service. A new 
Bishop of Newcastle should be arriving this coming winter and it may 
well be that after (presumably) weekly commuting and allowing the new 
diocesan time to settle in Grank will announce his retirement.  The 
official retirement age is 68, which he will reach in 2017, but he could 
already receive his state pension which kicks in at 65.
