The Church of Saint Mary the Virgin ("Smokey Mary's") near Times
Square in Manhattan/NYC has announced the appointment of an
organist and music director.
 
He is Simon Walley who has been "director of music and fellow
by special election" at Keble College, Oxford University.  He is  a
British citizen, and will take up his position at Saint Mary's 1 Aug  15.
 
Current interim O/C, Mark Peterson's last Mass at Saint Mary's will
be that of the Assumption, at which time there will be a reception in
his honor.
