An equal aversion is to the word, "Mass" even though this is listed in  the
'79 Prayer Book as one of the acceptable terms for the Communion  Liturgy.
 
Some years ago:
 
The local Procathedral began using one of the communion settings in  the
'82 Hymnal by Richard Proulx.  It is called a "Community Mass",  and
the use of Mass result in the discontinuation after a few weeks  because of 
flack
from ultra Protestant types.
