This is not only a neighborhood parish situation.  The same thing  has
occurred at Newark's gargantuan Cathedral (RC), Sacred Heart.
 
This church is one of a half dozen largest church buildings in the  USA,
and finds itself in an Hispanic neighborhood.  The Spanish Mass  is
much larger than the English language Choral Mass.
