And on the subject of insects, I do remember distinctly my one visit  to
TEC Cathedral at Garden City, Long Island, New York.  
 
Not that it was not worthwhile to see this gorgeous building, but the
astounding thing was that my visit was during one of the locust  hatchings
some years ago.  Though the locusts were everywhere, the sound
was unique and deafening and even a little frightening.
