And Minnesota has the Golden Gophers! They happened to be the team we played for Homecoming weekend my freshman year. Big football fan that I was (not), that's the only one I remember. I also remember the two packed Michigan State home games while I was there (Hi, Scott!), and that Roger Staubach was QB for Navy...
Why did the schools have such ridiculous mascots? And what is a Nittany Lion, anyway?
