Vice President Joe Biden's oldest son, Beau, has died of a brain tumor at
the age of 46. I had suspected something like this last week when he was
admitted to Walter Reed. He had surgery last year for a brain lesion and
reports were that he "hadn't been himself" since, but the family had said
nothing. Beau was a veteran and had served a tour in Iraq as a major in the
Army National Guard.

No father should have to bury a child.
