I should say, there's actually one more hurdle for him, but not an academic one.  (Or a "community service" one; damn those required hours.)  He simply has no desire to go through any of the motions of the whole "graduation" thing.  Wishing I could re-live my own life, I honestly envy him that desire.  But I wonder what his mother and her family will think.  I better tell her soon.
