Thanks all - I had a more energetic birthday than usual as I went with my
hubby on the plane to Johannesburg to see the semi-final of the South
African Idols competition. Keith works on the show and got me a ticket. It
was very enjoyable!

There's so much talent here...but often the voting comes down to where
people live or where they were born i.e. group and community loyalty.
Nevertheless, I think the right two people have ended up in the final. With
11 million votes it's clear that South Africans are committed to this show!
