Just what we need. Today I had to sign a bunch of papers so we can close on
my parents' house. The title company in Knoxville had considerately
arranged to send a notary to our house so I wouldn't have to chase around
and find one, which I thought was nice. So this morning I got up to a
voicemail from the one they'd called, telling me he was marooned in
Keezletown (yes, there is such a place) behind 20 inches of water and
couldn't get here, but he would see if he could find someone else. He did,
and it got done this afternoon.

However, Hurricane Joaquin is supposed to dump on us tomorrow, and S/O has
to be in Charlottesville tomorrow and Friday for an event. I ask prayers
for his safety going to and fro. Afton Mountain can be pretty tricky in wet
weather.
