Why would authorities sully an otherwise stellar visit of the Pope with this blot on his spotless white robes? (I had a more colorful text for this sentence, but decided it was too much) This little detour was so completely unnecessary, and smacks of meddling in internal USA affairs, at least IMHO. David S.
