[Magdalen] How's the weather in South Carolina

Thanks, Lynn. We have been dry for the most part today. Sprinkling rain
has continued and gray skies. I sent a request to parishioners this
morning to ask them to report on their conditions. Some with water in
their yards, but no one reporting water in their houses yet. Columbia, SC,
our capitol city, was badly flooded, much worse than the lowcountry from
video I've seen. Columbia is situated in a valley of sorts, which makes
accumulation of water a problem. SC will be a long time digging out...in
the lowcountry the infrastructure is damaged, from bridges to the earth
beneath roads to the black top. Also warnings are out about trees being
vulnerable to uprooting in the soggy ground.

But, today we are okay.

Thanks for your prayers.
Ginga
