Just got word that my new eyeglasses with new prescription are in. my 
Ophthalmologist suggested that this new prescription would improve things from 
20/120 to maybe 20/70.

That's not the 20/40 I had steadily for more than 50 years, but if it works, I 
can probably read a lot more books again.

But it would still be a remarkable improvement. Given that I've kept the sight I 
have far longer than anyone in the three generations who’ve lost their sight 
with this, I am grateful that I can still function  I still need a cornea 
transplant, but both my cornea specialist and oncologist are dubious of this 
course under the circumstances.
