A classmate in my early school years (and neighbour down the street)
was called Paul Prudhomme. His surname was pronounced something like
"PRUDE 'em." So when I heard about the chef some years later, I was
amazed there was someone with the same name, and I was interested to
hear how it should really be pronounced. :)

I often thought he might not last long with all his girth, but 75 is
quite good. I was also amazed how much he reminded me of comedy actor
Dom DeLuise.

Rest eternal grant to Paul, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon
him. May his soul, and the souls of all the departed, through the
mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.
