Anyone who watched "Captain Video" on the Dumont Network back in the day 
(including Ed Norton!) was early in love with the Flying Dutchman.

As I liked Captain Video, Mom took me to see FD at the Met when I was about 6-7. 
It was spectacular, but didn’t understand a thing. Mom explained it all on the 
way home on the train. I wish she'd explained it on the way in <g>.
