It's been only four days since my Saturday disappointment, and all I can say is WOW.  Besides the joy of having the removal of the jar lid sound like I'm cracking open a beer (!), I'd estimate that the overt cucumber flavor has diminished by 70-80%, and the spice flavor has increased by about the same amount.

I'm definitely making some more this weekend!
