Back in the 1960s a fellow from the UK came to the US to learn how to be an
arbiter in the much loved game of baseball. His family was delighted when
he was finally called up for the bigs. The bigs are Major League Baseball.
On his first weekend off, his son was very sad because every time he tried
to sit in his dad's lap, he was pushed off. His wife was very upset
because of how he was treating their son.
After much arguing, the man finally said that he did that with his son
because, as he opined, "The son never sits on the British Umpire!"
