[Magdalen] Canada's election

The Libs have gone from 36 seats to 186 -- quite a comfortable majority.

This is a sweep of historic proportions, the biggest upset in Canadian history. Trudeau fils has actually outdone Trudeau pere in the Trudeaumania election of '68.

I'm sorry for the NDP, which paid a high price for strategic voting -- but I'm applauding the rejection of neo-conservatism and xenophobia, and I'm hoping the Tories turn themselves back into a party I can respect. They have no obvious heir-in-waiting, as Steverino chopped potential competitors off at the knees (he is not a Nice Person at all).

May we be a modest example to our large friend to the south.

Susan Hutchinson, get down off that table THIS MINUTE!!!
