Maybe a good thing for some of us.  I know it has been for me.   My
heavy involvement at Saint Stephen's led to direct conflict with a
Rector about 25 years ago, and the active parish bunsen burner
blew out under my butt.  (alliteration city).
 
I made myself miserable with this situation, and it did threaten my
sobriety.  I wisely have never let myself get this involved in a  parish
