Portuguese is funny generally. My dad always said it sounded like drunk
Spanish. And Brazilian Portuguese is way worse. When I was at UW-Madison I
dated a guy from Brazil for awhile and happened to be around when his
mother called. Oy vey, who could understand that? Such slurring and
shooshing--but it sounded lovely.
