My mother, who always had her lunch on shopping days in  Minneapolis
at the "Nankin" Restaurant, but ordered "chow mein" instead.   She always
said that chop suey was ordinary, and chow mein was the  gourmets'
choice for Chinese food.  That always came with egg fooyoung,  of
course.
