You should be able to update to Win 8.1 which is generally recognized as 
a great improvement on Win 8.  8 was developed for use primarily with a 
touch screen ehich most of us don't have.  8.1 made it easier to use if 
you don't have a touch screen.

is the guide.  I know that some people have had trouble with 10 but 
other updates are often to address security issues and other glitches so 
are sensible to unstall. When it invites you to install an update you 
should be able to find out why it has been issued.
