I had Windows 7, accidentally upgraded to Windows 8, and then found in the
Windows own help files instructions on how to reverse it. It did not work
as fully as I hoped, because I did have to do some things manually, but the
basic operating system reversed itself very nicely.
What it does the best is revert to the operating system you had before the
upgrade.
Google revert from windows 10 to windows 7
or, if you prefer
Google revert from windows 10 to windows 8
And, although I can't tell you where it is, there are instructions in the
help files of windows 10 on how to revert your operating system.
So, yes, it certainly is possible. I've done it.
