They cannot afford that....misgovernment and corruption have driven
millions out of the rural areas and young people are drawn to the EFF who
are getting better organised by the day...and after this will have some
solid experience in coalition governments.

 I don't know how ANC will turn this around but getting rid of Zuma and his
cronies will be a necessary start.

Meanwhile th DA has a real chance here in Nelson Mandela Bay and must make
the most of it. So far they have proven ability to hold on and to extend in
the areas they previously won.

Our new Mayor elect, Athol Trollip, looks like a typical white farmer,
which he is, but his fluent isiXhosa helps a lot. He will have to work very
hard in the next few years...Interesting times!!
