[Magdalen] Death in the city

Well, I just came from retreat in a tiny town in PA next to Sinking Spring
--a slightly larger little town. On Sunday evening we heard the most awful
racket of sirens, with more and more piling on--every kind of siren and
vehicle imaginable, all on the road down below us heading somewhere. It
must have gone on for a full five minutes or so. The headline in the
Reading newspaper yesterday morning said it was a murder-suicide claiming
five victims. No place is immune these days, it seems.
