You are indeed correct. Not an issue for me, however, as I almost never buy 
tomatoes in the supermarket - grow my own, which are not GMO. Or get them at 
the co-op, which are also non-GMO.

Mucho GMO tomatoes here- all the nice cherry tomatoes on the cute containers 
with "names"??  - GMO. All the plum tomatoes in nearly all our grocers - 
chain s big and local  - GMO from Mexico and Central America and South 
America. Some are HUGE.
I think even my fave local farm stand has gone GMO. last year their zucchini 
blossoms - a big treat in my house were flavorless.

Around here, most all farms are organic. This weekend is Kingdom Farm & Food 
days, so tomorrow we'll be visiting Todd Parlo's Walden Heights Orchard (all 
organic nursery stock, mostly apples), and then on Sunday it's Field Days at 
High Mowing Seeds - the largest all-organic seed co. in the US.

Jay in regard to  Grainger County tomatoes... are they organic? ...or have
they been perfected by the folks that have been bringing us GMO fruit that
is tweaked, and apples that don't 'brown' when left in the open air
(actually a healthy thing to eat, when it happens).
