I guess I'm the last one standing who finds standard cable (Comcast here) to be absolutely more than perfect, and though expensive, not something I can't deal with.  I simply can't see myself without a "live" connection to cable "as it's happening".  Call it a quirk, if you're nice.  Like an old friend of mine at college who couldn't drive anywhere without his radio on to a live voice.  Just had to have it.

And I imagine concerns so many of us here who love you.  But, as they say, it's your issue, and you seem to be okay with it.  I just hope the future brings improvement.  (I love Scott the Younger too; I just don't know him, so I say all this to you....)
