Sometimes the private lives of those who are in the public eye never move on
for their admirers - past a certain incident.... his marriage and her death
by cancer seemed also to me to be a pivotal point for both Gilda and Gene...
as though his life stopped when she died. But of course, that was a long
time ago now, even though it may not seem such... and I'm still trying to
wrap my brain around him being 83. Your post made me realize that this must
be a difficult comment for his widow to hear, but perhaps not.
