Today. here in Thousand Oaks, Southern California, it got close to 90F, dry
heat. Southern California vegetation is dry and some of it is burning. The
forecast shows cooling to highs of about 80F.
I've had a chest cold for several days and have stayed in bed. The bedrooms
half of the house has no air conditioning and our caregiver, of Mexican
heritage, seems to have no need for it in the other side of the house. If
it's on, the bedrooms do get some of it, Today it got pretty hot in my
bedroom and I walked over and turned on the air conditioning and ate dinner
in the family room.
Miraculously, my cold felt a lot better. I wish I'd told the caregiver to
leave the AC on a couple of days ago, but I was pretty sick and not
thinking.
