Grace, when you have your G mail open, if you look at the top of the
screen, toward the left, you will see a very narrow, wide window, probably
in white, with a small icon of a magnifying glass at its right. That is the
window you can use for all kinds of things, including searching for email.
It should pop up any email that has an instance of the text you type into
that window.
Incidentally, if you look very, very carefully at this window, you should
see a teeny, tiny "downward" carat at the right-hand side, just to the left
of that "magnifying glass" icon. If you click on this (almost invisible)
down-carat, a wonderful menu drops down, in which you can specify all kinds
of neat parameters for your search. If you are into that sort of thing.
Hope this helps.
