Well for me, I can go 40 miles north and not just a different accent, but an
entirely different language.

Yes, in my suburban Detroit-area years I remember how cool it was that
we could drive a short distance and across a bridge (or through a
tunnel) to a land of a different accent and funny money. :) And a
queen.
