I was also watching a sort of documentary on the loss of fishing  villages
in Newfoundland.  It was all very sad.
 
I would have delighted in riding the 900 mi. + route of the  Newfoundland
Railway through a large chunk of the island before it closed years  ago.
That, and seeing the final gasp of the Appalachian Mountain chain all  the
