For these folks in particular, Richard Rohr's "Falling Upward" and
"Breathing Under Water: Spirituality and the Twelve Steps" were both great
for me. Maybe Sue Monk Kidd's "When the Heart Waits," and maybe even "The
Secret Life of Bees, " which, though fiction, has a fine message, as do
the Narnia books, actually.
