Harvard College = The College. Not to be confused with The Law School, The
Ed School, The Div School, The Med School, The Extension. Harvard Yard is
always called The Yard. MIT is often called The 'Tute. Boston has a
long-standing and complicated relationship with the definite article.
Newbies call The Church of the Advent "Advent," while everybody else calls
it "The Advent."
