Well, I thought I'd give them another chance (a couple of years having
passed since I visited there) and how I regret it.>>>>>
I can only respond by saying
you have your choice of "Uff-da" or "Oy Vey."
It's easier to understand the ex-patriot sentiment that causes the flag
drooped at the high altar with "My Country 'Tis of Thee." at TEC
Procathedral in Paris. But Florida???
This probably has a military connection somehow, and I understand
that having worked at a VA hospital for 30 years. I positively bedeck
my house and property with Old Glory, and am perfectly happy with
singing patriotic songs ("American the Beautiful"/"My Country 'Tis of
Thee," etc.) in church on weekends near the big patriotic holidays, but I
do
draw the line at the flag on the Altar. It seems a bit of confusing State
and
Faith.
