That's great.
Besides your improved health, part of what's great about it is that the
use of Colchicine to treat foot wounds is thousands of years old.

However, what is not great about old drugs is that unethical companies
get control of the legal rights and then jack up the price. Everyone has
heard of Martin Shkreli and his antics with Daraprim at Turing
Pharmaceuticals. Far fewer people know that in 2009 Albert Roberts of
URL Pharma acquired the US rights to Colchicine and then raised the
price per tablet from $0.09 to $4.85 and sued to remove other versions
from the market. He was not greedy enough to have his antics reported as
national news. But Shkreli probably learned how to do this trick by
watching Roberts.

This nasty trick only works when the drug is ancient and effective.
Effective is good.
